Before this day ends, I’d like to share a food for thought.

December 25 is allegedly the day which prehistoric pagans dedicated to the sun god. In order to convert the pagans, the Roman Church declared December 25 as the day on which Jesus Christ was born. This overruled the celebration for the sun god.
Despite this historical reference, I still celebrate Christmas.
I realized that it is not the date which we must be attached to but the arrival of God’s only begotten son on earth. Whether the accurate day of his birth be on April, October, or December, I still recognize the glorious event as God’s greatest miracle. To quote an acquaintance’s status update,
May this day, like any other day, remind us of [Christ’s] birth, love, and sacrifice for us on the cross
Merry Christmas everyone!
